Originally located in Bayview, the owners of the team moved the Spoonbills to Coral Bay years ago. Though upsetting to the people of Bayview, the residents of Coral Bay couldn’t have been more excited. The Spoonbills brought with them a long history of winning, with only the Grackles having more championships. When the Spoonbills were moved to Coral Bay, they updated their logo to reflect a more southern Florida aesthetic.

The Roseate Spoonbill is found along the Gulf Coast. They use their unique bill to eat crustaceans, which also give the bird their pink color. They are one of 6 spoonbill species, but the only one found in the Americas.
