Seaboard City is a surf town hosting numerous surf competitions and festivals every year. It was a no-brainer to adopt a bird known as a surf scoter as their mascot. Even Seaboard City residents that don’t follow sports are often seen wearing Scoters merch. The “surfin’ Scoter” has become a bit of a city-wide mascot. The team is so beloved that the fact they haven’t had a winning season in over 5 years doesn’t seem to matter to the fans.
